Brick Alley Building
Our building is the first brick building on the river side when you get into Stillwater from the South. The parking lot preceeding our building is FREE parking from November – May (even though it says pay park) and if you can find a spot, the Brick Alley parking lot on Nelson Street behind our building is FREE all year long for our customers!

What a difference a few hours makes. The signs are so incredible. The pictures don’t really do them justice. They are bright and colorful and perfect. Hope you can come see for yourself soon. We are hoping for a grand opening the weekend of October 10th! More details to follow soon!

Our Amazing Location
We are located at 423 South Main Street in Stillwater, MN in a building called the Brick Alley. The building is the first building you see when you pull into Stillwater from Hwy 36. The photo here is a computer generated illustration of what our signage will look like. The real signs are getting installed on Sunday.
We are shooting for a grand opening the weekend of October 10th. But if our door is open, come on in and check us out!
Our amazing graphic designer crafted this cool image. Check out Katrina Haas work at www.themixcreative.com.

I had the best day yesterday! I met a few terrific artists and had a great conversation with a local Stillwater resident and potential Darn Knit Anyway employee. We also put away a bunch of yarns, which was such a treat.
All week long, people have been walking by the shop…some even poked their heads in the door to have a look around. I am THRILLED when they do this. One particular encounter was especially great. A women from one of the offices upstairs, I’ll call her Pat (cause that’s her name) stopped in. She saw the shelves finally full of yarn and couldn’t resist coming in to say hello. We chatted for a few minutes and she said “I don’t want to invade your personal space or anything, and I don’t even know you, but…I am so happy I could hug you right now”. How great is that? I have been getting such amazing encouragement from everyone and am constantly reassured that I am moving on the right path. Very cool.
So…here are a few of the latest photos of the shop. Sorry for the grainy quality…they were taken from my phone with hands that were shaky from too much coffee!
If you are wandering Stillwater this weekend…stop and say hi!

Shelves are installed and ready for action. The fun stuff keeps arriving at our doorstep. Our shipments of Blue Sky Alpaca, Spud and Chloe, and Rowan showed up yesterday. UPS delivered another box from Dream in Color today. We are hoping to see our Cascade order soon and should get our Crystal Palace bamboo needles this week and our Addi Turbos next week. If you are in Stillwater…peek your head in and say hello!
Just a few more weeks until we open. We are shooting for the 2nd week of October. Make sure to sign up for the newsletter and you’ll get first hand info!
